Global iqlim o‘zgarishi, suv tanqisligi va qishloq xo‘jaligida suvdan samarali foydalanish muammolari zamonaviy ilm-fanning muhim yo‘nalishlaridan biri hisoblanadi. Suv resurslarini boshqarishda aniq monitoring va baholash usullaridan foydalanish muhim ahamiyat kasb etadi. Eddy kovariatsiya (Eddy Covariance – EC) texnikasi atmosfera va yer yuzasi o‘rtasidagi energiya, karbonat angidrid hamda suv bug‘i almashinuvini yuqori aniqlik bilan o‘lchash imkonini beruvchi zamonaviy mikrometeorologik usullardan biridir. Ushbu maqolada EC texnikasining ishlash prinsipi, suv balansini aniqlashdagi roli hamda qishloq xo‘jaligi ekotizimlarida suvdan samarali foydalanishni baholashdagi istiqbollari tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqot natijalari EC texnologiyasi evapotranspiratsiyani aniq aniqlash, sug‘orish tizimlarini optimallashtirish hamda iqlim o‘zgarishi sharoitida suv resurslarini boshqarishda muhim vosita bo‘lishi mumkinligini ko‘rsatadi.
